Latina” is the perfect and exciting fusion of what has become Valiente’s trademark: oldies and Latin.

Bachata, merengue and calypso (among others) as if they were created in the 50s, the fusion of Latin American rhythms with the sound and instrumentation of the old rock ‘n’ roll bands, together with the interpretation of the lively Argentinian, result in this show that doesn’t leave you sitting still.

The show, which is sung in 6 languages, consists of original numbers, including the ORF Radio Wien summer hit 2020 “Unicornio”, and newly interpreted hits from the 50s and 60s wrapped in Latin American rhythms. You can, for example, enjoy an Elvis song as a bachata!

From salsa, mambo and cha cha cha, to merengue, bachata and bossa nova, to tango, rumba and calypso: this fusion has been rethought, reworked and wonderfully put together down to the last detail by the multi-talented Venezuelan Carlos Pino-Quintana* to take the audience on a unique emotional journey.

** Carlos Pino-Quinta has been active in the Austrian music scene for over 15 years as a composer, arranger, producer and conductor. In his career he’s composed music and conducted the orchestra for the Viennese Volksoper and the Konzerthaus, he’s made arrangements for the production and concerts of star tenor Juan Diego Flores and he’s been responsible as a arranger and music director of the ball season of the Hofburg Palace for almost 10 years. With his label REChord Sounds, he was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in the category Best Classic Production for the album of the soprano Nathalie Peña Comas.

After the successful team work with Valiente on the single “Unicornio”, this duo faces his second big goal: Latina. In this show Maestro Pino-Quinta isn’t only the producer, but the musical director and arranger.
